Switching providers
Changing IT companies is the part everyone dreads. Here is what it actually looks like.
Every new client goes through the same sixty-day onboarding, planned, communicated and executed as tickets you can see. The first thirty days happen before your contract even starts, so day one is a kick-off, not a scramble.
Offshore helpdesks subcontract the hands-on work to someone who has never seen your network. Every piece of gear we install is built and installed by a Midwest IT employee.

What happens to the old provider
We ask for the documentation and passwords they hold. Most hand them over professionally. Some do not, and we have recovered access without them more times than we would like. Either way, you do not have to be in the middle of it.
What your staff notice
A new number on the sticker. A person who introduces themselves. Their first ticket, closed, with a one-click survey attached. Within a few weeks the helpdesk knows who prints from where and which laptop has the bad keyboard.
Questions we get asked
How long does onboarding take?
Sixty days on a written timeline: hardware built in our shop before it ships, discovery twenty days out, your staff meeting the helpdesk by name on day one, and a partner check-in at day sixty.
The full answerWill there be downtime?
Setup happens on days you choose. The tools we install run alongside what is there; nothing is switched off until its replacement is working.
The full answerWhat if we are under contract with someone else?
We will read it with you. Often the notice period is the only real constraint, and we can start the assessment before it ends.
The full answerNervous about switching?
That is normal. Read the process, then call with questions.
Talk to a partnerTalk to a partner, not a sales script.
Tell us what is going on. A partner will call you back the same business day, look at what you have, and tell you honestly whether we are the right fit. No pricing pressure, no pitch deck.
