About Midwest IT
Seventeen people in Pell Lake who take this very seriously.
Family-owned since 2005. Partners who still take calls. Technicians who have been here a decade. We are not experts at technology for its own sake; we are experts at fitting technology to a business so it pays for itself.

What we believe
Our mission is to guide our clients through an ever-changing technical landscape, give them excellent service, and properly protect their critical business information, so that we become a strategic partner they value rather than a vendor they tolerate.
Responsive. Customer-centric. Solutions-oriented. Those are the values we hire for on day one and the ones we still hold decade-long employees to.
From the owners
Why we run this company.
We run a business because we believe small businesses drive our economy, our culture and what makes this country great. The bottom line is that we care about your business. Both of us being successful as small business owners is what gets us out of bed and ready to roll every morning.
The first question we ask is how we help you make more money with technology. Sometimes it is protection, sometimes it is production. We are good at it, and we want to help you be successful in harnessing it.
Pete Weigel and Eric Grimes, Partners
Experienced, long-term account managers, engineers and support staff, and practically no internal turnover. You develop a vision for your technology and execute it with the same people, instead of explaining it again to a rotating, inexperienced desk.
Average response time, user happiness, projects completed on time and on budget, protection standards and audits. We keep them and show them to you, so you are not relying on our word.
A long list of clients in your industry willing to tell you what twenty years of working with us has been like. Ask for one before you sign anything.
Not going anywhere
21 years, a few miles apart.
Bill Weigel was consulting on networks in the nineties. The company he built opened its doors in Twin Lakes in 2005 and moved up the road to Pell Lake in 2017. His brother Pete joined in 2006 and runs the company; his son Nate started as an intern in 2009 and now runs Protection; Karen keeps the books. Eric joined in 2012 to help it grow, and it has, every year since. Bill retired in 2021 and is still consulted as an emeritus partner.
IT companies get sold, merged and rebranded constantly. Ours has had one name, one family and one phone number for two decades. When you sign with Midwest IT you are not betting on who owns the company next year.
It was great to have a conference call between Midwest IT and our software vendor to resolve this issue. Draven was persistent, resourceful and patient to solve the problem, and he did! I felt confident this issue would be resolved so I could have a successful event.Ann, Geneva Lakes YMCAFrom a ticket survey, 2026
